The Old Man in the Mountain

If you are not a New Englander, it is very hard to understand our feeling of loss for this great natural wonder. A symbol of New Hampshire and a history of unknown years this granite face stood watch over Franconia Notch before man had traveled it. This is my one good photo of the old guy and I just wish I hadn't taken it for granted that he would be there the next time to get another one.
